Around Ukraine in 2011

Ukraine is rich in contrasts: from postcard views to post-apocalyptic landscapes, contrasts between extreme poverty and extreme wealth, typical for post-soviet states run by oligarchs. Ukraine seems to be balancing between East and West. Is the soul of Ukrainians closer to Brussels or to Moscow ? The pictures speak for themselves, but there are some changes coming. Since the Maidan Revolution in 2014, most of Lenin’s statues have been torn down.
