INTRO

Rule number one: your ego is nothing. It doesn’t exist.

Rule number two: have total self-control of your emotions, thoughts and basic instincts.

Rule number three: forget all of your selfish desires.

What a challenge! As a matter of fact, it proclaims the opposite values to those conveyed by our Western, capitalistic, post-modern and materialist societies. This is the challenge of Hare Krishna devotees. In some countries, they are considered a sect. In others, they have the status of a religion. For sure, they are not dangerous. Their capital, Vrindavan, is a fascinating city, mixing thousands of Western pilgrims with the local people. You will find a few hundred temples around, along with a huge “pilgrim business”. And “Lord Krishna” is everywhere.
